Timed for release to coincide with San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount Pictures has made available these images of the upcoming Kenneth Branagh adaptation of Marvel Comics’ “Thor”. Gary Coleman (1968-2010)

Gary Coleman, 42, famous for playing Arnold Jackson on “Diff’rent Strokes”, has died after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage. He is survived by wife Shannon Price. Coleman has suffered numerous legal troubles over the years, including a 1989 lawsuit against his parents and former business adviser and charges of assault and domestic violence. Variety is reporting that, despite severe debt problems [LA Times], MGM is pushing forward with the “Teen Wolf” television series being co-produced with MTV. Via Twitter, writer Neil Gaiman has released a picture of himself turning in an episode he wrote for the  long-running British series “Doctor Who”. Originally intended for the current season, the episode is now slated for early next season (#6 or 31, depending how you count). Other details are murky. Orlando Bloom Joins 3D Musketeers

Apparently, Orlando Bloom hasn’t had enough swashbuckling adventures. Variety is reporting that “Pirates of the Caribbean” star has signed on for Paul W.S. Anderson’s 3D adaptation of the Alexandre Dumas classic “The Three Musketeers”.  However, he will play the Duke of Buckingham and not a musketeer. If you’re unfamiliar with director Anderson’s body of work, his resume includes such abominations classics as  “AVP: Alien vs Predator”, “Death Race”, and “Resident Evil”. Bloom joins a cast which already includes Logan Lerman (“Gamer”, “Percy Jackson”) as D’Artagnan and Anderson’s wife Milla Jovovich (“Resident Evil”) as Milady de Winter.  Juno Temple (“Year One”) is in consideration for the part of Queen Anne. Twilight’s Ashley Greene Ready to Scream?

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Ashley Greene and Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) are among the actresses being considered for the upcoming Scream 4, but their fans shouldn’t get excited yet. The report says: Casting is proceeding slowly because Craven and Dimension are not sending the script to agencies in order to protect its secrecy. With only character descriptions, actors are having a difficult time deciding whether certain roles are for them.[Click to read full article.] The sequel also promises to reunite the original cast of Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox with the original creative team of writer Kevin Williamson and director Wes Craven.
